Job description

Pappageorge Haymes Partners (PH) is a nationally recognized design and planning firm with expertise in multifamily residential, adaptive reuse, mixed-use, hospitality, and master planning projects. Our award-winning team delivers innovative architecture that shapes skylines and strengthens communities across the country.

We are seeking an Architectural Associate with 1–3 years of experience to join our Chicago office. This role offers hands-on exposure to the entire project process, from concept design to construction administration, while providing mentorship and growth opportunities within a collaborative studio environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist project teams with design, documentation, and coordination across all project phases
  • Support project architects in developing drawings, models, and specifications
  • Participate in consultant coordination and code research
  • Conduct site observations and help prepare field reports
  • Work closely with team members on design studies, presentations, and technical detailing
  • Engage in PH’s mentorship program and pursue professional development toward licensure

Qualifications:

  • Completed a five-year architectural degree or Masters in Architecture
  • Professional experience in multifamily residential projects (preferred)
  • BIM modeling experience
  • Demonstrates strong technical and graphic skills
  • Possesses creativity, self-discipline, strong leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop, communicate, and present design concepts to project teams
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Ambitious, detail-oriented, and motivated to advance toward architectural licensure
