POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role leads the architectural design process for new and renovation building projects, guiding clients and multidisciplinary design teams from concept through construction. The position involves producing high-quality design deliverables, ensuring projects meet codes and standards, and promoting architectural excellence within the firm.  
 
LOCATION:
Pittsburgh, PA or Arlington, VA with travel to client and project sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leading collaborative teams of architects and engineers to deliver innovative, high-quality designs. 
  • Producing exceptional project deliverables at every stage of design. 
  • Representing and championing architectural design excellence within the firm. 
  • Participating in client meetings and interviews for new project opportunities. 

 


QUALIFICATIONS

What’s Required: 
  • Professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program. 
  • Licensed Architect (RA) in Virginia or eligible for reciprocity. 
  • Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in architectural practice. 
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, construction, and structures. 
  • Proficiency with Revit. 
 What Puts You Ahead: 
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, Procore, Office 365, Teams, and Enscape. 
  • Experience with federal, healthcare, and/or higher education work. 
  • Accredited professional under LEED, LFA, WELL or other sustainability-focused organization. 
  • Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC).
