ABOUT THE ROLE

The Copywriter & Content Strategist II writes and organizes the content behind customer experiences for our clients and their brands. This integrated role pairs strong writing with clear content organization, developing content frameworks, messaging hierarchies, and messaging architecture, then writing the copy that brings them to life. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Writing & Craft: Writes clear, engaging copy for websites, digital experiences, campaigns, brand messaging, and scripts—adapting tone and style for different audiences, channels, and formats.
  • Content Strategy & Structure: Develops content frameworks, messaging hierarchies, and content hierarchy that define how storytelling elements are prioritized, structured, and expressed across an experience.
  • Concept Development: Contributes to creative campaign concepts and ideation that deliver on established strategies, proactively proposing ideas and anticipating content needs.
  • Messaging Architecture: Builds and maintains messaging matrices and frameworks that keep content consistent and aligned with strategy across an experience and touchpoints.
  • Machine-Readable Content: Structures and writes content so it’s usable by both people and AI systems—clear hierarchy, consistent labeling, and well-formed language that holds up when read by machines as well as humans.
  • Brand Voice: Develops and advocates for brand voice and tone, writing to the editorial standards defined in brand guidelines.
  • Discovery & Insights: Interviews stakeholders and reviews content audits and audience data to inform content strategy and reorganization.
  • Client Engagement: Leads client-facing content sessions, presents strategies and copy, and incorporates feedback from creative reviews to refine work.
  • Industry Awareness: Stays current with trends in content strategy, copywriting, and digital experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4–6 years of professional experience in content strategy and copywriting for digital experiences, including both short- and long-form copy.
  • Portfolio that demonstrates two things, both required: (1) strong writing craft across web, brand, and campaign; and (2) structured content thinking—content frameworks, hierarchies, or messaging architecture. Writing alone, or strategically alone, will not meet the bar.
  • Experience developing content for websites and campaigns across digital and print.
  • Experience reviewing content audits and audience data to inform content strategy.
  • Experience interviewing stakeholders and presenting to clients preferred.
  • Familiarity with structuring content for AI and machine readability (e.g., content that can be reliably interpreted, validated, or reused by AI tools) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, marketing, or related field preferred.
