Job description

A vibrant, Michigan engineering firm is seeking a Project Architect for their Midland area office!



Responsibilities:

  • Consult with client to determine requirements for new structures or renovation
  • Coordinate/attend meetings with clients, consultants, planning officials, building officials and/or health/safety/law officials
  • Prepare contract documents
  • Conduct periodic on-site observation to monitor compliance with plans
  • Produce high quality work
  • Ensure all work is reviewed by a registered architect
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborate with team members at all levels of design phases
  • Attend client meetings, possibly face-to-face
  • Travel to clients and construction sites



Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
  • 5+ years of experience in related experience in commercial, medical and/or institutional projects
  • Architecture License preferred
  • Knowledge of contract administration/office procedures
  • Knowledge of basic building systems (architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural)
  • Experience generating construction documents in AutoCAD/Revit
  • Experience with 3D modeling, presentation and design software (Photoshop, Bluebeam, Enscape, 3D Studio, Sketch Up)
  • Mathematical skills


Salary is commensurate with experience.
