Job description

Position Overview
Instill proper knowledge, skills, and attitude with participants. Provide high quality instruction, direct leadership, and mentorship in all archery venues.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversite, guidance, and management in archery venues to their highest and best use
  • Instructs and coaches guests in a classroom or range environment
  • 100% accountability of all equipment at all times
  • Ensures team maintains all equipment
  • Controls movement of small teams to provide programs and complete range tasks
  • Ensures range safety procedures are followed
  • Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
  • Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
  • Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook

Qualifications
  • Minimum age: 18+
  • Required: USA Archery Level 1 Instructor (training provided)
  • Required: 1+ year leading teams, prefer 1+ year Summit Employment
  • Preferred: Experience in competitive shooting or hunting, any discipline
  • Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication

Physical & Practical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds
  • Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
  • Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55
