JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly skilled Archer GRC Platform Architect with deep experience in the banking or financial services industry. This role will be responsible for architecting, configuring, and optimizing the RSA Archer platform to support the organization's evolving Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) needs. The ideal candidate brings over 10 years of Archer development expertise and a strong understanding of regulatory and risk management requirements specific to the banking sector.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable Archer solutions that align with GRC strategies and meet regulatory requirements (e.g., OCC, FFIEC, SOX, GLBA).
  • Lead Archer platform architecture, application development, data integration, and workflow design.
  • Partner with business and compliance leaders to understand GRC requirements and translate them into Archer use cases and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain complex data-driven events, advanced workflows, calculated fields, access control rules, and dashboards.
  • Ensure platform stability, performance, and security while maintaining audit-ready documentation.
  • Oversee Archer upgrades, patching, and solution lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with Information Security, Operational Risk, and Internal Audit teams to support enterprise risk initiatives.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting, system analysis, and technical guidance.
  • Mentor other Archer administrators or developers and help establish platform governance standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in RSA Archer platform development, configuration, and architecture.
  • 5+ years working directly in the banking or financial services industry, with an understanding of key risk and compliance functions.
  • Deep familiarity with Archer core features including On-Demand Applications (ODAs), Cross-References, Notifications, Data Feeds, and Access Roles.
  • Experience building or enhancing use cases for:
    • Operational Risk Management (ORM)
    • Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM)
    • Regulatory Compliance Management
    • Issue Management and Audit
  • Strong understanding of banking regulations and frameworks (e.g., Basel III, COSO, FDICIA, FFIEC CAT, NIST CSF).
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to both business and IT stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation, planning, and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Archer Certified Administrator or Architect.
  • Experience integrating Archer with external banking systems or GRC platforms via REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Familiarity with Agile or DevOps methodologies in a banking context.
  • Experience with data privacy, DLP, or cybersecurity risk programs in a financial institution.
