This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.This role is part of the Safety, Quality and Mission Assurance organization. This team is focused on defining, monitoring and assessing processes that guide Blue Origin's design, manufacturing, and operations, ensuring system safety engineering, reliability, environmental health, and safety, product integrity, and certification.
As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will work as a Senior System Safety Engineer on space vehicles and in-space systems. You will work with systems engineering teams to define and verify compliance with safety and reliability requirements. You will help engineers identify areas of opportunity for design improvements, minimize risk to people and property, and increase the probability of mission success. You will be responsible for leading, performing and coordinating safety analyses to identify hazards, causes, controls, mitigations, and risk characterization. You will work directly with responsible engineers, program management, and customers to return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.
