The War Data Platform (WDP) is a key initiative within the U.S. Department of War's (DoW) AI-First strategy introduced in early 2026. The WDP focuses on operational warfighting data and aims to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) on the battlefield. The WDP extends to Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret environments, and supports collaboration between Combatant Commands, Joint Staff directorates, Senior Executive Service leaders, and operational analysts.
The Portal Configuration Manager maintains disciplined configuration control over the WDP program management portal, ensuring the reliability, traceability, and integrity of the workflows, approval routing, and reporting mechanisms that underpin WDP Task 1 program management operations. This role is central to sustaining the execution transparency, procurement visibility, and audit readiness required to support Government review and concurrence processes across the full WDP program lifecycle.
• Manages configuration control activities supporting the program management portal used for reporting, coordination, and approval workflows.
• Maintains configuration baselines for portal workflows supporting submission and tracking of Monthly Status Reports, Trip Reports, Requests to Initiate Purchase, and Consents to Purchase.
• Configures approval routing, user access, and document workflows to support Government review and concurrence processes.
• Coordinates configuration updates aligned with Project Management Plan procedures and reporting requirements.
• Maintains version control, configuration documentation, and change logs supporting audit readiness and traceability.
• Supports portal functionality used to track schedules, milestones, deliverables, travel documentation, and purchasing actions.
• Coordinates configuration changes supporting evolving reporting templates, approval workflows, and purchasing requirements.
• Delivers controlled configuration management supporting reliable program reporting, procurement visibility, and execution transparency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Current Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• 3 or more years of experience in portal administration, configuration management, or program management support within a federal government or DoW environment, including demonstrated responsibility for maintaining workflow configurations, approval routing, version control, and change log documentation in support of program reporting and procurement processes.
• Active DoW 8570/8140-compliant IAT Level I certification, such as CompTIA A+ CE, CompTIA Network+ CE, CompTIA Security+ CE, GIAC GSEC, or ISC² SSCP, as required for access to DoW information systems.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
• Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management).
