Position Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is capable to perform a variety of industrial maintenance duties. There is a requirement for an overlap of experience and responsibilities between the specialty areas (Electrical, Mill wright, Mechanical, Electrical Controls) based on business needs, skills and abilities. Gleason seeks a candidate with experience in the following areas:
Manufacturing (CNC) Machinery Repair
Electrician / Electrical Controls Experience
Millwright Experience
Welding Experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on CNC manufacturing equipment with the ability to determine when larger scale project repairs are required
  • Experience with repairing and or operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Millwright - ability to safely dismantle, reassemble, and move machinery in plant
  • Experience with safe crane operation
  • Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Previous work experience on a Maintenance team
  • Previous experience ordering repair parts
  • Experience with welding equipment
  • Use of Fork truck equipment or scissor lifts for repairs and installations
  • Strong interpretation skills with regard to technical drawings and blue prints
  • Proven experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of safety and OSHA requirements in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate across departments
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship or relocation expenses is not available for this position

Preferred Education/Training/Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Welding certification
  • Vocational training certification in a related field desired
