Job description

Dantex Electrical Contractors is seeking experienced Apprentice & Journeyman Electricians to join our team full-time. Our immediate need is for a commercial construction project in Laredo, Texas, where Dantex is performing the electrical work for a new micro-hospital.


For qualified Journeyman Electricians, a company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel between project locations.


This is not a temporary or project-only position. We are looking for electricians interested in long-term, full-time employment with Dantex. After completion of the Laredo project, employees must be willing and available to travel to other project locations, including Austin and San Antonio, Texas, as work requires.

We are looking for dependable, safety-minded electricians with at least 5 years of hands-on electrical experience, preferably in commercial construction. Candidates should be able to work efficiently in an active construction environment under the direction of a Journeyman Electrician and/or Foreman.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum 5 years of electrical construction experience required
  • Commercial electrical construction experience strongly preferred
  • Current Texas Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician License required
  • Experience bending and installing conduit
  • Experience pulling wire and installing commercial electrical systems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and blueprints preferred
  • Familiarity with common electrical hand and power tools
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew
  • Strong attention to safety and quality workmanship
  • Dependable with consistent attendance
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be willing and able to travel for work
  • Must be available to work on projects in Laredo, Austin, San Antonio, and other Texas locations as needed
