Job description

Salary: $18 - $34

The Apprentice Security Installer works under the observation of the Lead Installer, building basic skills and gaining additional experience and responsibilities through hands-on training. Assists with project site installation and service of security, access control, fire alarm, CCTV and integration technology.


Responsibilities:

  • Installing field devices (cameras, alarm devices, card readers, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting systems and electronics
  • Assist in pulling low voltage cable and various wiring
  • Installing cable in new and retrofit commercial construction environments
  • Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
  • Additional duties as assigned


Skills/Qualifications:

  • One year of electrical experience preferred
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills
  • Familiar with electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Comfortable with electrical testing equipment
  • Ability to take direction and follow all safety protocols
  • Must have reliable transportation as travel is required
