Commercial Plumbing Apprentice – Job Description Are you interested in starting a career in the plumbing trade. S&S; Mechanical in St. George, UT is actively seeking a full-time Commercial Plumbing Apprentice to assist our experienced plumbers and foremen on commercial construction projects.

If you are motivated to learn, enjoy working with your hands, and want to build a long-term career in the trades, we want to hear from you. Our Commercial Plumbing Apprentices typically work Monday – Friday, depending on project needs, with occasional overtime based on construction schedules. This position offers competitive pay based on experience and provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while developing your plumbing skills.

Responsibilities • Assist plumbers and foremen with commercial plumbing installations • Learn to install plumbing systems according to blueprints and construction plans • Carry and organize materials, tools, and equipment on job sites • Assist with cutting, measuring, assembling, and installing piping systems • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite • Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards • Support the plumbing team to keep projects on schedule • Continuously learn plumbing techniques and best practices Qualifications • Interest in learning the plumbing trade • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team • Strong work ethic and reliability • Willingness to work in construction environments • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks Preferred Qualifications • Some construction or plumbing experience • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools • Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in a plumbing apprenticeship program Physical Requirements • Ability to lift 50+ pounds • Ability to work in construction environments, trenches, and mechanical spaces • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work on active job sites
