Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Specialist to partner with finance and operations teams to ensure Epicor is used effectively, consistently, and in alignment with Epicor best practices. This role serves as a key liaison between business users and technical teams, supporting Epicor throughout its entire lifecycle — from process design and training to optimization, upgrades, and cloud migrations.

The ideal candidate deeply understands manufacturing operations, Epicor financials, advanced Epicor modules, and tools that integrate with Epicor to complement the business, enhancing productivity.  You’ll translate business needs into well-designed Epicor solutions while maintaining strong security controls and data integrity.


Key Responsibilities

·         Serve as the Epicor application and process SME, partnering directly with end users across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, order management, and logistics

·         Analyze, standardize, and improve business processes using Epicor best practices, asking insightful questions to identify root causes and drive efficiency

·         Own Epicor support across its full application lifecycle, from implementation and optimization through upgrades, cloud migrations, and steady-state production support

·         Ensure business processes are documented and maintained

·         Identify opportunities to optimize Epicor usage through process redesign, automation, and adoption of new Epicor capabilities

·         Design, create, and maintain BAQs, Dashboards, BPMs, and Data Directives, leveraging a strong understanding of Epicor tables, schemas, and relationships

·         Work closely with developers on customizations, extensions, and interfaces

·         Develop and maintain process documentation, test scripts, and training materials

·         Perform end-to-end testing, including unit, integration, and regression testing

·         Deliver user training and provide ongoing change management support

·         Ensure Epicor security roles, permissions, and access controls are properly designed and enforced

·         Aid in Epicor upgrades, on-premises to cloud migration and non-Epicor to Epicor migrations

·         Operate effectively within Epicor Kinetic (Web / Cloud) and multi-company environments


Required Qualifications

·         5+ (or 7+) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar specializing in Epicor ERP

·         Strong understanding of the Manufacturing business

·         In-Depth knowledge of the entire Epicor lifecycle, finance, supply chain, forecasting, demand planning, MRP/MPS, AP Automation, Scheduling, Quality control, order fulfillment, purchasing, inventory control.

·         Experience with tools that integrate with Epicor complementing and improving business productivity

·         Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

·         Experience supporting project activities, including coordination, tracking progress, and communicating with stakeholders

·         Strong SQL and BAQ development

·         Strong understanding of Epicor table structures, relationships, and architecture

·         Hands-on experience with dashboard creation, BPMs and Data Directives

·         Experience with working in multi-company or multi-site Epicor environments

·         Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, based on project phase and business needs

·         Epicor SSRS report development experience

·         Experience with Epicor upgrades and version transitions

·         Experience with leveraging AI-powered tools and technologies to improve development efficiency

·         Knowledge of Data Warehousing techniques, preferably Microsoft, such as ETL and Power BI tools
