Compensation Range:

$19.76 - $30.94

Position Summary:

Provides district-wide trade and technical support to maintain HVAC equipment in proper working order andto carry out electrical repairs and installations.

Job Duties

  • Repairs, installs and maintains HVAC equipment district-wide; identifies equipment problems and works to resolve.

  • Carries-out electrical repairs and installations; identifies electrical problems and works to resolve.

  • Initiates work orders as needed and procures petty cash to purchase parts and materials needed to complete open work orders.

  • Assists other employees in resolving technical and mechanical problems.

  • Minor indoor and outdoor painting.

  • Repair plumbing and replace plumbing fixtures.

  • Hang interior and exterior doors and door frames.

  • Replace ceiling tiles.

  • Patch and hang drywall.

  • Order and replace broken and missing ceramic tile.

  • Repair holes in existing walls.

  • Replace baseboards.

  • Performs other similar and related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

The position requires at least vocational or other technical school, certification, training or apprenticeship beyond High School or GED and at least three years of prior-related work experience. May substitute at least one additional year of prior-related work experience for the vocational or other technical school, certification, training or apprenticeship beyond High School or GED.
