The Opportunity
As a Specialized Tax Services - Energy Incentives & Credits Director, you will focus on providing tax advice and solutions to clients in complex and niche areas of taxation, including accounting methods, fixed-assets, and research and development tax credits. Within our Tax practice, you will play a pivotal role in guiding businesses through intricate tax regulations and optimizing their tax positions. As a Director, you will set the strategic direction and lead business development efforts, making impactful decisions and overseeing multiple projects while maintaining executive-level client relations. You are expected to be a guardian of PwC's reputation, understanding that quality, integrity, inclusion, and a commercial mindset are foundational to our success.
In this role, you will cultivate potential in others and actively collaborate across the PwC Network, leveraging collective strength to maximize client satisfaction. - Leading strategic tax planning initiatives to optimize client tax positions in complex areas such as accounting methods and research and development tax credits
- Overseeing the development and implementation of innovative tax solutions tailored to client needs within the energy incentives and credits sector
- Driving business growth by identifying market opportunities and converting them into successful client engagements
- Mentoring and developing the next generation of leaders within the tax services team, fostering a culture of inclusion and professional growth
- Collaborating with executive-level clients to shape and direct engagements, confirming alignment with their strategic objectives
- Promoting technological advancements and creating an environment where people and technology thrive together
- Translating vision into actionable strategies that inspire teams and drive client satisfaction
- Adhering to and enforcing professional and technical standards, including PwC's code of conduct and independence requirements
- Utilizing analytical thinking and systemic approaches to solve complex tax challenges and deliver value to clients
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 8 years of experience
- At least one of the following: Certified Public Accountant, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

The salary range for this position is: $150,000 - $438,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
