Job description

Dekker is seeking a BIM/Revit Technician with experience or interest in structural modeling, to use their skills in a team-oriented environment to collaborate on highly creative designs for a variety of project types. As passionate and self-driven team members at Dekker, candidates would play a key role in developing building designs backed by the support of a firm that has been a staple in the industry for over 60 years.

Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D models using Revit.
  • Create 2D sections and details in Revit.
  • Create families and components and maintain libraries of Revit content.
  • Deliver high quality documents using firm standards and quality assurance processes.
  • Contribute to researching and disseminating knowledge of best practices and industry advancements.
  • Coordinate with project Engineers, Architects, and other BIM technicians.
  • Collaboratively engage in project work with responsibilities as assigned.
  • Work under the direction of the project design team to produce drawings and documents.
  • Provide Revit support to structural project staff.
  • Complete redlines with accuracy.
  • Gather and provide BIM data from Revit models including takeoffs when required.
  • Identify and communicate out progress, accomplishments, challenges, and support needed to complete responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • This is a hybrid work environment with 3 days on site required. Applicants must live in the Albuquerque, NM metro area.
  • An Associates degree in drafting technology is the required minimum education.
  • Applicants must have at least 2-5 years experience working with Revit on large commercial building projects with the ability to perform the tasks described above.
