Launch a Career in the Skilled Trades – No Experience Required

Are you mechanically inclined and ready to learn a trade? We’re hiring motivated individuals to join our team as Garage Door Technician Apprentices. No prior experience is needed. If you’re dependable and hands-on, we’ll train you.

What Training Looks Like

Most of your training will happen on the job, working side-by-side with experienced technicians. As a helper/apprentice, you’ll gain practical experience right in the field. We also provide some classroom instruction, including expert-led sessions from David Mount at Mount On Site Training in Maryland, to round out your understanding of the trade.

  • Assist in installing and servicing garage doors and openers

  • Learn mechanical skills and product knowledge

  • Maintain safe, clean job sites

What You Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and work on your feet

  • Mechanical aptitude or background in trades is a plus

  • Valid NY driver’s license with a clean record

  • Able to pass a standard drug test (excluding cannabis)

  • Able to pass a DOT physical (non-CDL)

  • Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
