About this role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the Service Management team within Mission Control. In this role, you will help improve how we run and support large-scale systems by building automation, enhancing observability, and strengthening production reliability. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to reduce manual effort, improve system health, and support modern, scalable operations. This position offers hands-on experience with enterprise platforms, DevOps practices, and emerging AI-enabled operational tooling.

What you'll doBuild and automate
  • Develop automation, tools, and services to improve service management workflows
  • Build scripts and applications for monitoring, alert handling, and reporting
  • Use APIs and infrastructure-as-code to create scalable and repeatable solutions
Support production systems
  • Support production and pre-production environments, including deployments and onboarding
  • Participate in incident response, recovery, and post-incident reviews
  • Contribute to disaster recovery testing and operational readiness
Improve reliability and visibility
  • Enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability across systems
  • Identify recurring issues and drive improvements through automation
  • Partner with teams to improve production readiness and supportability
Apply AI and innovation
  • Contribute to AI-enabled solutions such as intelligent assistants, automated runbooks, and incident insights
  • Help teams adopt tools that improve productivity and reduce repetitive tasks
Follow governance and controls
  • Work within established change, risk, and control frameworks

For Wilmington, DE Only the salary range for this position is USD$110,000.00 - USD$138,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
