Role Description This full-time, on-site Welder role is based in Perry, FL and involves performing welding tasks on structural steel and metal components in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up and operating welding equipment, interpreting blueprints and welding symbols, preparing and aligning materials, and completing welds using appropriate processes. The Welder will inspect finished work for quality, perform basic equipment maintenance, and collaborate with ironworkers and supervisors to meet project timelines. The role also requires adherence to union safety practices, proper use of personal protective equipment, and active participation in maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in core welding processes, including Welding, Arc Welding, MIG Welding, and TIG Welding.
  • Working knowledge of Metals and Materials, including properties, preparation, and appropriate welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Commitment to safety practices, including OSHA and union safety standards, and consistent use of PPE.
  • Previous experience in structural, industrial, or construction welding environments preferred.
  • Relevant welding certifications or completion of an accredited welding or ironworker training program is beneficial.
  • Physical ability to work at heights, in varying weather conditions, and to lift and move heavy materials as required.
