Job description

Journeyman Electrician | Build. Mentor. Leave a Legacy.

You've spent years mastering your trade. You've solved complex electrical challenges, built systems the right way, and learned lessons that can't be found in a textbook.

Now, imagine putting that experience to work in a role where your greatest contribution isn't just the equipment you build—it's the next generation of electricians you help develop.

At Mazzella, we're looking for a seasoned Journeyman Electrician who takes pride in craftsmanship, believes in doing things the right way, and enjoys coaching others. Someone who understands that passing along knowledge is just as important as completing the job.

You'll help build custom overhead crane systems used by manufacturers across North America while mentoring apprentices and less experienced electricians. Your leadership will help shape the future of our team, ensuring the skills, pride, and professionalism of the electrical trade continue for years to come.

What You'll Do

  • Build, wire, troubleshoot, and test custom industrial electrical systems for overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels, motor controls, sensors, drives, and related components.
  • Diagnose electrical issues and ensure every finished system meets the highest standards for quality and performance.
  • Share your expertise by coaching, mentoring, and developing apprentice and junior electricians.
  • Demonstrate proper electrical techniques, safe work practices, and quality workmanship every day.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, teamwork, accountability, and craftsmanship.
  • Partner with engineering and production teams to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Help build not only exceptional equipment—but exceptional electricians.

Who You Are

You take pride in your work, but you're equally proud of the people you've helped along the way.

You believe the best tradespeople don't keep knowledge to themselves—they teach it, encourage it, and pass it on.

You enjoy answering questions, demonstrating techniques, and helping others gain confidence. You understand that the future of the skilled trades depends on experienced professionals who are willing to invest in others.

What You Bring

  • Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent industrial electrical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, VFDs, control panels, and three-phase power.
  • Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing the next generation of skilled electricians.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Leave More Than Great Work. Leave a Legacy.

At Mazzella, we believe the best electricians don't simply build equipment—they build people.

If you're looking for an opportunity to use your experience, invest in others, and help shape the next generation of skilled electricians while building industry-leading overhead crane systems, we'd love to meet you.

Your knowledge has value. Your experience has purpose. Help us pass the torch.
