Description Are you interested in working with innovative tools to advance radio frequency (RF) signature analysis capability? You will work on a team utilizing high-performance computing environments to develop detailed signature characterizations that are used in a variety of applications. In addition, you will collaborate with model users and system engineers to enable best use of products. As a Radar Cross Section Engineer, you will... * Use computational electromagnetics codes to develop radio frequency signatures of various radar targets.
* Participate in developing and testing advances in computational electromagnetics codes and the development of new models of various phenomenologies.
* Create and/or modify Computer Aided Designs (CAD) of objects to be used in various computational electromagnetics codes.
* Plan and conduct RCS measurements of various test articles at national facilities. Qualifications You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you have a... * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent technical degree
* At least 2 years of engineering-related experience in computational electromagnetic theory and computational methods/mathematics
* Familiarity with Matlab, Python, or similar mathematical analysis tools

* Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time if needed
* Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation.
