Job description

This is an entry level position for a Press Break Apprentice. You will be responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance a variety of presses to produce parts and other products according to the order specifications. The candidate must be willing and able to learn the operation of a press break, how to read/ interpret blueprints & diagrams. We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter, and can also take direction. This position will also be responsible for helping in the shop where asked.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Operating and monitoring the press and other machinery to produce parts and products according to customer and company specifications. This includes up to a 50ft press break
  • Follow directions
  • Use a variety of measuring instruments
  • Help in the shop where needed

Qualifications

  • Able to read a tape measure and know decimals
  • Able to adhere to safety protocols and regulations
  • Capacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasks
  • Exceptional hand-eye coordination
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Steel-toed boots
