We are currently hiring for Maintenance Electrician

What you’ll do

Safety:
Perform the duties of our  Maintenance Electrician in a safe manner

Operations:
Perform duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Lead, and/or Plant Manager
Housekeeping:
General cleanliness and tidiness of the work area(s)
Maintenance Electrician Responsibilities:

  • Completion of apprenticeship or electrical trade school education
  • Lockout Tag-Out (LOTO) on all work performed
  • Perform Maintenance responsibilities
  • Ensures operation of electrical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on plant equipment, programmable controllers, transformers, voltage regulators, and machinery wiring; following electrical code, manuals, schematic drawings, and other specifications
  • Installs new equipment to the manufacturer’s specifications. This could include, but not limited to, installing power supply wiring and conduit to and between machines and equipment
  • Repairs electrical systems and equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures; determining faulty wiring; inspecting and testing malfunctioning machinery
  • Programs automated machinery by operating, testing for malfunctions, and verifying repairs to and programmable controllers and end devices
  • Monitor and fulfill work orders in an efficient and timely manner
  • Prioritize tasks as necessary and respond to RUSH maintenance requests
  • Help control downtime by informing production workers of routine electrical preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance
  • Work with and train other Maintenance Personnel
  • Ability to work with vendors and other outside contacts to gather information needed to maintain and repair equipment
  • Assist in maintaining electrical spare parts inventory levels
  • Builds/Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks
  • Suggest new processes when necessary and maintain a culture of quality
Carry out other related duties as needed to meet departmental and organizational objectives
 

Salary Range - $28 - $35 (Based on Experience) with the potential to earn a yearly bonus

Skills and Requirements

  • Completion of apprenticeship or electrical trade school education
  • Working knowledge of 480, 277, 110, and 24 volt systems, motor controls, and variable speed drives
  • Ability to assist when needed in all areas of maintenance and production
  • Standing, stooping, reaching, and lifting to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform work with hands and/or arms in the same repetitive motion above and below shoulder level
