As an Apprentice Insulator, your daily responsibilities typically include measuring and cutting insulation materials, installing insulation on pipes, ducts, or walls, and assisting journeymen or supervisors with more complex tasks. You'll also spend time preparing worksites, cleaning up debris, and ensuring safety protocols are followed throughout the project. This hands-on training enables you to learn industry best practices while developing the skills needed to advance in the insulation trade. Working closely with experienced team members, you'll also gain insights into different insulation techniques and project requirements.
An Apprentice Insulator assists in installing and maintaining insulation materials to control temperature and reduce energy loss in buildings and industrial settings.
