Fedrigoni Special Papers North America is seeking qualified applicants for an Instrumentation Technician position at our paper manufacturing facility. QUALIFICATIONS

Successful applicants will have experience in an Instrumentation position within a paper mill Instrument Department or similar industrial operation. Relevant education, technical training, apprenticeships, or degree programs related to instrumentation, industrial automation, electrical technology, process control, or industrial maintenance may be considered in lieu of some experience.

Applicants must possess verifiable experience, training, or demonstrated competency in the following areas:

▪     Installation of conduit, fittings, cable tray, tray cable, signal piping, and signal wiring.

▪     Proper installation practices include separation and isolation of power and signal wiring systems.

▪     Troubleshooting and maintenance of PLC-based control systems.

▪     Troubleshooting 120-volt AC and DC ladder logic circuits.

▪     Experience with single-loop controllers such as Moore 352 controllers or equivalent process control equipment.

▪     Calibration, installation, and maintenance of:

–    Differential pressure (DP) cells

–    Vacuum gauges

–    Pressure gauges

–    Pneumatic controllers

–    Vacuum controllers

–    Understanding various control valve types and appropriate application of each.

▪     Repair and rebuilding of:

–    Pneumatic control valves

–    Hydraulic valves

–    Directional valves

–    Spool valves

▪     Working knowledge of hydraulic principles including force, area relationships, filtration systems, and interpretation of hydraulic schematics.

▪     Ability to tune and troubleshooting process control loops utilizing PID control principles.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

▪     Ability to read and interpret electrical, instrumentation, and process control schematics.

▪     Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

▪     Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.

▪     Willingness to participate in ongoing technical training and development.

▪     Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

SCHEDULE


Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with a rotating weekend schedule.


Candidates must be available for overtime and call-ins as required.
