ELECTRICIAN - INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE
$40-$42 an hour
About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious, hands-on Industrial Maintenance Electricians with strong troubleshooting skills. Applicants must hold a current State of Michigan journeyman or master electrician license. Must have excellent communication & documentation skills and be able to work alone or in a group setting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical equipment up to 5000 volts
  • Ability to plan work, understand drawings, schematics, and instruction manuals.
  • Install, program, troubleshoot PLC's & touch screens for Allen Bradley/Rockwell & GE products.
  • Install, program, troubleshoot VFDs (ABB, Allen Bradley PowerFlex)
  • Maintain and repair mechanical/electrical drives and automation instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot & repair three phase motors & motor controls up to 1500Hp.
  • Understand / Participate in a multi-craft approach including motor couplings, belts, sheaves, guards, rigging, laser alignment, welding, etc.
  • Perform all facilities maintenance including lighting & fire alarm / fire suppression systems
  • Understand OSHA guidelines for PPE, Lockout & NFPA70E safe electrical work practices. Understand & adhere to NEC requirements for new installations
  • Mentor apprentices as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Starting salary for position: $40.40 per hour.
  • Paid Vacation: Two (2) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions
