Join our dynamic team at Air Liquide as a Maintenance Technician! You are responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment through preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity and performance of our large-scale industrial gas production facilities.
Job Duties:
  • Perform routine and complex maintenance tasks on a variety of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment, including pumps, compressors, valves, motors, control systems, and cryogenic units.
  • Execute preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, inspections, and calibrations to support reliability and enhance equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, uncover root causes, and contribute to effective repair solutions.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track equipment history, and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Committed to all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and hot work permits.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support the team during emergency breakdowns outside of regular working hours as required.
  • Collaborate with operations personnel and engineers to foster plant processes and improve equipment reliability.
  • Read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
  • Conduct equipment inspections, foster a safe environment by identifying potential hazards, and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper care of tools and equipment

  • Education: High school diploma or GED is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degrees in industrial maintenance or vocational school certificates in HVAC, welding, or machining are preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience (1-3 years) in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing mechanical equipment.
  • System Knowledge: Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Tool Proficiency: Ability to use hand and power tools, such as grinders and welding equipment.
  • Technical Reading: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Technical Proficiencies: Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is often required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform heavy lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods.
