Enterprise geospatial data and applications are essential to supporting operational reporting, broadband initiatives, loan programs, infrastructure analysis, and informed mission decision-making. Challenging Projects:

As a GIS Analyst with JCTM, you will provide enterprise geospatial operations, application support, and spatial analysis services for a pending federal data management contract. This position supports the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of an enterprise GIS environment by developing geospatial products, maintaining enterprise GIS data, supporting ArcGIS Enterprise operations, and assisting with geospatial application modernization initiatives.

Working collaboratively with the GIS Architect, Data Architects, Data Engineers, BI personnel, application developers, and Government stakeholders, the GIS Analyst delivers reliable geospatial services that enhance business operations, improve decision-making, and support enterprise reporting, broadband initiatives, loan programs, and other mission activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day administration and operation of the enterprise GIS environment.
  • Create, edit, validate, maintain, and document enterprise geospatial datasets, feature classes, and enterprise geodatabases.
  • Publish, configure, and maintain GIS web services, feature services, web maps, dashboards, and enterprise applications.
  • Perform spatial analysis supporting loan programs, broadband initiatives, infrastructure analysis, and operational reporting.
  • Support administration of ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, Portal, and ArcGIS Data Store environments.
  • Monitor GIS system performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement corrective actions that maintain system availability.
  • Develop maps, dashboards, data visualizations, and geospatial products supporting executive and operational decision-making.
  • Support GIS integration with enterprise reporting platforms, business applications, analytics environments, and enterprise databases.
  • Develop metadata, technical documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures supporting enterprise GIS operations.
  • Support geospatial automation initiatives using Python, ArcPy, and enterprise GIS tools.
  • Participate in testing, production deployments, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend improvements that strengthen enterprise GIS performance, automation, data quality, and user experience.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geospatial Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience supporting enterprise GIS operations within a complex information technology environment.
  • Demonstrated experience administering or supporting ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.
  • Experience creating, editing, validating, and maintaining enterprise geospatial datasets and geodatabases.
  • Experience publishing and maintaining map services, feature services, web maps, web applications, and geospatial content.
  • Experience performing spatial analysis, cartographic production, geospatial data validation, and quality assurance.
  • Experience supporting enterprise geodatabases, GIS web services, and geospatial application deployments.
  • Experience preparing GIS documentation, metadata, user procedures, and implementation guidance.
  • Experience supporting Agile software development lifecycle activities including testing, deployment, and change management.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required background investigation and system access credentials.
  • Ability to work effectively in a predominantly remote Agile development environment with periodic onsite support as required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Government stakeholders, technical teams, and business users.
  • Ability to prepare technical documentation, metadata, user guidance, and operational procedures.

  • Experience supporting USDA Rural Development.
