Job Summary:

Based on daily production schedule, check, and stage all necessary components required for each job ticket at press site; to maximize productivity on press by minimizing press operators’ times in non-running activities. 


Shift Hours: 6:30am - 3:00 pm

Shift Hours: 5:00pm - 5:30am


Job Description:

  • Work alongside and assist with operation of digital presses
  • Complete jobs according to customer specifications by producing quality work and performing quality checks
  • Monitor production runs for quality, maintaining all required samples as designated by procedures
  • Learn and perform basic preventative maintenance in accordance with production schedule
  • Review proofs for accuracy
  • Properly document production information
  • Retrieve and return all necessary materials for jobs
  • Move materials via material handling equipment including forklift and pallet jacks
  • Contribute to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free workplace, report potentially unsafe conditions and ensure that the department meets and exceeds safety requirements
  • Meet productivity and quality standards by completing work in timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborate with Production Manager and other Team Members to address opportunities for improvement
  • Self-starter capable of taking initiative and working with minimal direction
  • A positive attitude including high energy, and a drive to contribute and make an impact
  • Able to perform complex tasks, prioritize multiple projects
  • Work overtime as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications of Position:

  •  High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications of Position:

  • Previous Pressroom experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to interpret written instructions.  
  • Multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.  
  • Organizational planning skills for self-directed daily activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions and acquire skills required to progress to operator status.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive work.

Pay Statement:

The national pay range for this role is listed below job posting. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
