Fly Fishing Guide, River Wildlife
Work Mode: Onsite
Location:Kohler, WI
Opportunity
Facilitate and lead guided fishing trips on the Sheboygan River through the River Wildlife property. Utilize fishing equipment and tackle to guide members and guests of River Wildlife on fishing trips. This will require the ability to walk in waders through the river while teaching members and guests how to cast and catch fish.
  • Safely guide fishing trips throughout the River Wildlife property when directed by the
  • Manager - Wildlife & Experiences, River Wildlife.
  • Ability to teach casting techniques and different lure presentations while on the guided trip.
  • Knowledge of different fishing techniques, larval hatches, trout and salmon biology, and water conditions to provide information to clients.
  • Assist with any questions that members or guests may have about fishing gear throughout the trip.
  • A guest service and hospitality mindset will be an important skillset in this role during all guest, member, and associate interactions.
  • Observe all written standard operating procedures to provide a safe working environment for self, other associates,guests, and thegeneral public.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned

This is a Casual position working weekdays and weekends. Hours vary between 7:00am - 7:00pm.
Skills/Requirements
  • Knowledge of fly fishing, fish biology, and WI state fishing laws.
  • WI guiding license will be required.
  • Guiding experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record and meet the ongoing eligibility to operate a motor vehicle.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
The competitive commission range for this position is based on percent of individual sales. The specific commission earned may be influenced by a variety of factors.
