Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, highly motivated Commercial Electrician with 6+ years of commercial field experience. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems in commercial and light industrial environments. The ideal candidate must be a master at bending and running conduit (EMT, Rigid), possess a sharp eye for reading blueprints, and be capable of working independently or leading small crews to complete projects on time and up to code.

Core Responsibilities- Conduit & Pipe Work: Expertly measure, bend, and route conduit, including EMT, IMC, and Rigid pipe. Proficient in complex bends (saddles, offsets, concentric, back-to-back) using hand, mechanical, and electric benders.

  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret electrical schematics, architectural blueprints, one-line diagrams, and technical layouts to accurately map out circuitry and equipment placement.
  • System Installation: Install, wire, and terminate commercial panels, switchgear, transformers, light fixtures, control systems, and devices.
  • Wire Pulling: Efficiently pull wire and feed cables through conduit runs, cable trays, and building structures.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose, test, and repair electrical malfunctions in commercial systems, circuits, and apparatus with minimal supervision.
  • Code Compliance: Maintain a strict standard of safety and quality, ensuring all installations strictly comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA standards, and local job specifications.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Actively guide and mentor apprentices or helpers on-site. Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other MEP trades to keep job timelines on track.

Qualifications & Requirements- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of true commercial electrical field experience (offices, retail, medical buildings, warehouses, or similar).

  • Technical Skills: Proven mastery in conduit bending/installation and a strong history of reading blueprints without guidance.
  • Tools & Transport: Own a complete set of standard hand tools of the trade. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical Stamina: Able to climb ladders, operate scissor lifts, work in tight spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Professionalism: Strong communication skills for interacting with project managers and client representatives. Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded.
