Job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in electrical systems and circuit design within the heavy highway electrical industry. If youโ€™re eager to develop your skills in electrical and traffic signal industries to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems used in highway lighting and traffic signals

  • Support project teams with schematic diagrams, wiring layouts, and system design.

  • Conduct root cause analysis on electrical issues and assist with debugging using multimeters, ohmmeters, and skills.

  • Learn to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

  • Support the documentation process by creating schematics and system diagrams.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in electrical, mechanical knowledge, or related technical fields

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and blue prints
