Job description

Role - Electrical Technician
Location - Auburn Hills, MI 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Test Technicians will test mechanical, electrical, application and safety attributes of paint automation to meet Manufacturing Test plans, standards and Engineering Specifications/Guidelines 
  • Manufacturing Productivity – Daily technicians must know work schedule and meet the schedule requirements.  
  • Process– Access control plans, quality documents, understand specifications and guidelines 
  • Quality Inspection -.  Ensure product and workmanship meets FAC standards.  Verify assembly and test results data is complete and within defined ranges as needed.
  • Care of Tooling/Equipment: Proper care and use of FAC tools and compliance with Tool Management Procedure  
  • Housekeeping: Use a 5-S approach to organizing your work area with team.
  • Safety Compliance: Know and work to FANUC Basic Safety Training and Procedures (including but no limited to HAZ MAT, LOCKOUT, TAGOUT, robot safety, risk assessments and proper PPE).
  • ERP System: Complete work orders and all related work order tasks

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

  • Solid communication skills in technical and non-technical issues (written and verbal) 
  • Knowledge of mechanical assemblies and electrical assemblies
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical, mechanical, pneumatic engineering documentation, prints and/or schematics.
  • Proficient with electrical and mechanical hand tools 
  • Experience with safety procedures (MIOSHA regulations, Safety, Fork Truck, Lockout, Hazardous Material)
  • Maintains a disciplined approach to responsibilities without supervision.
  • Technical communication skills

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Electrical Repair Technician, Quality Technician, Automotive Technician, Panel Technician, Maintenance Technicians and electrical apprentice 
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Certifications: Basic technical trainings with electrical focus 
  • Associate degree, Technical Certificate or higher in electrical, Applied Science, licensed/apprentice or equivalent experience.
  • 1-5 years’ experience in manufacturing electrical assembly and test
  • Experienced and knowledgeable on ISO 9001 requirements (preferred)
