Position Summary
The 4th Year Electrical Apprentice will assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, safety standards, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
  • Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Analyze electrical issues and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Follow all industry safety practices, procedures, and company policies.
  • Monitor and verify quality control standards to ensure consistency and accuracy of work.
  • Complete assigned electrical tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Read and prepare proposals, business correspondence, schedules, reports, and technical procedures.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and thread electrical raceways, conduit, and wire using proper electrical tools and equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Maintain a professional image when interacting with customers, contractors, and team members.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications
  • Current Utah Electrical Apprentice License (required).
  • Completion of or enrollment in a 4th Year Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
  • Commercial and/or industrial electrical experience required.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at various heights.
  • Sufficient mobility to crouch, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying weather and job site conditions as required.
