Job Description
Job Description
Visa's Apprenticeship Program is designed for those with no prior experience interested in receiving hands-on IT training with an organization while also earning a salary. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply!
Software Engineering Apprenticeship: This program combines classroom training, hands-on mentorship, and real-world projects to help launch a career as a Software Engineering professional at Visa. Apprentices will begin with a 15-week bootcamp where they will receive full-time classroom-style education that will prepare them for On-the-Job Training (OJT). This period is officially known as Related Technical Instruction(RTI). During the RTI on period, Apprentices will be contracted as employees of our Apprenticeship Provider, Apprenti. Upon successful completion of RTI, including satisfactory performance review, employment with Visa will begin.
At the conclusion of the year of OJT, those who have successfully completed the program may have the opportunity to be considered for promotion to full-time employment.
During the year of OJT, Apprentices will receive coaching from leaders within one of the following technology groups at Visa. They will also participate in career development workshops to develop professional and buildable skills. Specific assignments will depend upon your skill sets, and team needs. By applying for this position, your application is automatically considered across multiple teams, which include:
Commercial & Money Movement Solutions: This team drives expansion beyond core consumer-to-business payments into broader money movement flows across individuals, businesses, and governments.
Data and AI Platforms: This teams mission is to power Visa's global payment ecosystem through modern data infrastructure, AI/ML platforms, analytics capabilities, governance, and decision intelligence systems.
Value Added Solutions: This team drives the diversification of our revenue with products that differentiate our network and deliver valuable solutions across other rails.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site).
We are thrilled that you have decided to participate in this program, and we look forward to you joining the Visa family. Your success is important to Visa. To that end, it is necessary that you work diligently toward achieving the standards of the program including, but not limited to: committing to working a hybrid schedule in accordance with Visa practices; completing all necessary Visa and/or Apprenti education and training in a timely manner; and maintaining strong performance in your role, including successfully completing any applicable assessments. Failure to comply with the program standards jeopardizes not only your apprenticeship experience, but also your opportunity to transition to a full-time employee at the conclusion of your apprenticeship.
All Visa roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
