Job Description

Performs demolition and construction work on various types of ductwork, installs HVAC equipment, fabricates ductwork and ductwork hangers and a wide range of custom and specialty items not available from vendors. Working from drawings and sketches, performs layout work and duplicates samples as required.b

Responsibilities

• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

• Fabricates custom-made strainers using perforated steel, screening and expanded metal.

• Works with plastic materials such as Plexiglass and Lexan and with all types of metals such as hot and cold-rolled steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminum and magnesium as well as exotic metals such as tantalum, copper, monel and hastelloy.

• Uses fabrication machines such as sheet metal shears, press brakes, hand brakes and lock formers.

• Cuts sheet metal to size by using reciprocating saws, sabre saws, hand and power shears and plasma cutters and joins metals together using spot welders.

• Complies with all applicable safety requirements for assigned task.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education/equivalent and completion of an approved apprentice program or equivalent.

• 5-7 years of diverse commercial and industrial sheet metal experience.

• Must be able to interpret all mechanical diagrams and construction blueprints.

• Ability to understand and complete all installations/modifications is required.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at  the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors  including  geographic location, and we may ultimately  pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be  modified in the future. ​

  • We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.​

  • This job is eligible to  participate in our short-term incentive programs.  ​
