Class 2 Mechanical License Specialist 


Location: East End Plumbing | Grand Rapids, MI | Full-Time or Part Time| In-Person


Salary or hourly (Based on Experience) + Full Benefits (very flexible role in terms of pay, open to full or part time)


Monday-Friday | No On-Call | No Weekends | No Overnights

Your Role as a Class II Mechanical License Specialist:




Technical Expertise & Field Leadership


Provide expert-level troubleshooting, code-compliant installations, and high-quality repairs

Guide and mentor journeymen and apprentices on best practices and problem-solving

Oversee workmanship and job quality, ensuring every install meets or exceeds local code


Project Planning & Operational Support


Assist with job walkthroughs, material planning, and crew coordination

Collaborate with estimators to ensure accurate scopes and labor forecasting

Ensure jobs are delivered on time, on budget, and without callbacks

Business Growth & Culture Building


Support the hiring process by evaluating technical and cultural fit of new team members

Champion safety, training, and continuous improvement

Work closely with leadership to develop SOPs, systems, and scalable processes as we grow


Qualifications You'll Need:


Mechanical License - Class 2 (Required)

Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

Residential plumbing experience is a plus- Service and Projects!

Knowledge of permitting, inspection processes, and code compliance

Solid customer service and communication skills

Tech-savvy: Can use tablets / laptops, software, and online permitting tools confidently
