Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Computer Aided Design (CAD) Designer role based in Boca Raton, FL. The CAD Designer will prepare detailed technical and construction drawings for interior design projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and millwork details. Responsibilities include translating design concepts and sketches into accurate CAD documents, updating plans based on client and project team feedback, and ensuring drawings comply with relevant codes and standards. The role involves close collaboration with designers, project managers, and contractors, maintaining organized project files, and meeting deadlines for drawing deliverables.

Qualifications


  • Strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Design Engineering for interior layouts and detailing.
  • Proficiency in Technical Drawing and Drawing for clear visual communication of design concepts.
  • Experience creating and revising Construction Drawings for residential interiors.
  • Knowledge of materials, and construction methods relevant to interior design projects.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard CAD and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar).
  • Design research and sourcing - research furniture, lighting, materials, finishes and other design resources, helping with product selections and coordinating information from vendors.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization in documentation and file management.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional project teams.
  • Ability to work on-site in Boca Raton, FL, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in an interior design, architecture, or construction environment is beneficial.
