Martin and Son is a specialty contractor with services in residential & commercial flooring, commercial glass, walls & ceilings, doors, hardware & specialties, and millwork & FF&E, along with national retail solutions, including fixture installation. Founded in 1931, the fourth-generation company works nationwide from its headquarters in Green Bay, WI.
Position Description
Position Description: This position is in our Ceilings division and is responsible for supporting project operations and helping to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and to company quality standards.
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate scheduling activities and assist with tracking apprentice progress, training requirements, and workforce assignments to support project needs
  • Assist with pre-job and post-job setup activities, ensuring materials, equipment, documentation, and project closeout requirements are properly organized and completed
  • Conduct job site visits to monitor project progress, provide support to field teams, and help ensure work is completed according to company standards and expectations
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse by managing inventory, storing materials properly, and supporting overall warehouse operations
  • Complete small punch list items and minor project tasks to ensure all work is finished accurately and meets quality standards prior to project completion
  • Review the onsite labor that was assumed during bid time against the current schedule to maximize productivity
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule delays, labor challenges, or scope conflicts
  • Coordinate material deliveries
  • Verify installer time reporting is accurate, complete, and submitted timely
  • Execute & follow through with assignments given by Project Managers, as assigned

Other Duties As Assigned: Performs other related duties as assigned including supporting team members in the completion of their work for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the business.
Position Requirements
Experience/Education Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years of construction project management, field supervision, or related experience preferred
  • Ceiling construction experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and schedules
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, Bluebeam, or related construction software preferred
