What we are looking for:
We are looking for hard-working, process-driven skilled mechanics who want to be a part of building something special. We are looking for a skilled Auto Mechanics to maintain and repair fleet vehicles. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to deliver maximum reliability and functionality. An excellent auto mechanic has good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. They are well-versed in diagnosing (45 pt. MPI) and delivering preventative (oil change, lubricating parts, tire rotations etc.) and corrective maintenance (brakes, tires etc.).
Schedule: Monday- Thursday | 3p-1a Responsibilities
• Inspect fleet vehicles engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
• Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, tires etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
• Upload documentation and logs of work via phone to Slick's proprietary software: TruView.
• Maintain vans, equipment and tools in good condition Skills
• Proven experience as auto mechanic- High Level Mechanic.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical components of vehicles • Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Ability to handle various tools and equipment.
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
• Excellent physical condition
• High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is nice, as well.
• Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a definite plus
• DOT Certification highly preferred BEFORE applying, know the following:
1. Be prepared to pull your Motor Vehicle Report and demonstrated a clean driving record and valid license.
2. Be prepared to demonstrate via your resume that you are hard-worker, have a track record of delivering great results for your previous employers.
3. Be prepared to demonstrate that you are detail oriented, organized and someone who only signs their name to perfection.
4. Be prepared to show a track record of working in the automotive industry as a mechanic with the skills needed to deliver preventative and corrective maintenance for fleet vehicles. We provide all the resources you need including tools, vehicles, insurance, gas etc.
