Position Summary
Work closely with a team of electricians, installers, and support functions to execute production processes safely and efficiently to our quality standards while meeting delivery dates and operational budgets.
Role Responsibilities
  • Perform manufacturing tasks in a manner that is consistent with company policies and performance metrics with an attitude of excellence
  • Interpret job orders and drawings as needed for the area of assignment
  • Layout and fabrication of equipment and parts
  • Operate trade-specific machinery
  • Maintains time records accurately
  • Perform other assignments as directed by production management
  • Receives direct supervision in performing technical responsibilities
  • Contributes to the development and improvement of concepts, techniques, and procedures
  • Brings energy to a team under the general supervision of an experienced professional or manager
  • Electrician specific skills and experience required.

Qualifications
Shop Electrican-1:
  • Entry-level role focused on performing basic electrical trade tasks under supervision. Ideal for individuals with foundational electrical skills seeking to develop expertise in a manufacturing environment that are excited to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of electrical experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational training in electrical preferred

Shop Electrican-2: Includes all Shop Electrician-1 qualifications plus:
  • Builds on Shop Electrician-1 responsibilities with more complex electrical work performed independently
  • 4+ years of electrical experience
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings independently
  • Able to perform majority of electrician tasks independently while meeting quality and delivery expectations
  • Mentors Shop Electrician-1's
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Proactively collaborates with team members to meet production goals
  • Understands continuous improvement initiatives and is willing and able to make contributions

Shop Electrician-3: Includes all Shop Electrician-2 qualifications plus:
  • Senior-level electrician responsible for complex electrical installations, troubleshooting, and team leadership
  • 6+ years of electrical experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proven ability to collaborate with engineering and production teams to effectively resolve complex electrical-related challenges and plan upcoming projects
  • Reads and interprets advanced blueprints and manages job requirements independently
  • Leads, mentors, develops, and drives a cross-functional manufacturing team
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of electrical codes, and quality assurance
  • Actively supports lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Physical Requirements and Accountability
  • Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas
  • Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations
  • Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, move, and/or carry 50 lbs.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
