Job description

Position Summary

This is a newly created Sales Representative role focused entirely on new business development across a nationwide territory, with a heavy focus on Texas. This role is built for someone with technical knowledge of the plastics manufacturing process, whether that knowledge comes from a prior sales role or from time spent in a technical, quality, or operations capacity within the plastics industry. Buyers for this role include plant managers and quality control contacts in addition to purchasing, so technical credibility matters as much as commercial skill.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop new business across a nationwide territory, with a heavy focus on Texas

  • Spend the majority of time in the field visiting prospects and building relationships, supported by remote prospecting and appointment setting

  • Use Salesforce, LinkedIn, and AI powered tools to identify contacts, confirm emails and phone numbers, and build a qualified pipeline

  • Read and apply Power BI reporting to support forecasting and budgeting

  • Build credibility with technical buyers, including plant managers and quality control contacts, in addition to purchasing

Key Skills

  • Technical understanding of the plastics manufacturing process, colorants, or additives

  • Strong communication skills and a results driven mindset

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, LinkedIn, AI powered prospecting tools, and the ability to read Power BI reports

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of professional experience, in sales or in a technical, quality, or operations role within the plastics industry

  • Willingness and ability to travel 50 to 70% of the time within the territory

  • US work authorization required; candidates with an existing, transferable employer sponsored visa will be considered

Location

This role covers a nationwide territory with a heavy focus on Texas, and is remote, with a strong preference for candidates based in or near the DFW Metroplex.
