About the Role:
Exciting opportunity in the intersection of business and science. As part of the R&D Finance team, the Sr. Financial Analyst will play a key role in enabling the success of their assigned function(s) within R&D and Medical Affairs, supporting key financial processes, enabling the success of program teams, and acting as a business partner to assigned key functions at the company.
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Acts as a key partner in supporting the assigned functions and programs in financial and business planning analysis, reporting, and operations
  • Creates and/or updates financial models that support decision-making and provide valuable insight to Senior Leaders and project teams
  • Reviews and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual results, helping to understand variances of actuals vs budget or forecast
  • Analyzes departmental budgets and plays a key role in forecasting efforts to support financial planning and overall guidance
  • Collaborates with cross-functional business partners and teams within assigned functions and Accounting
  • Identifies and delivers opportunities to simplify and improve processes and systems and create operational efficiencies
  • Performs ad-hoc analyses that lead to problem solving, decision-making, and actionable recommendations for the business
  • Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned business in order to track the organization's progress against financial goals
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or closely related field and 6+ years of financial analysis experience; Pharmaceutical and/or Biotech industry experience is a plus. Experience as client-facing finance resource is preferred. Financial system experience is preferred OR
  • Master's degree or MBA and 4+ years of similar experience noted above
  • Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish work
  • Has strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and recognizes downstream impact on other functional areas
  • Proficient with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Interested in R&D, drug development and making an impact on patients' live
  • Has knowledge of best practices in Finance and Accounting and familiarity with the broader underlying concepts of related business discipline
  • Experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • R&D and/or drug development Finance experience a plus

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $97,000.00-$133,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
