Job description

 

Weston & Sampson is seeking a CADD designer to support highly skilled engineering projects. This position will be in our Conway, SC office location. 

 

What you'll do:

  • Prepare detailed civil and treatment plant design drawings for water and wastewater projects.
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and surveyors to create accurate and timely construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.
  • Produce site layout, grading, utility, erosion control, drainage plans, profiles, earthwork and structural drawings.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents, exhibits, and design reports.
  • Interpret and apply local zoning and engineering codes/regulations into design.
  • Coordinate with engineers, survey teams, and project managers to meet deadlines.
  • Review and update redlines and markups from engineers.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications in support of the project development, representing our clients.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate with multiple staff members in a team environment.

What you will bring:

  • Background in water and wastewater design preferred
  • 2+ years' experience preferred but not required.
  • A strong skill set both with basic AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Organizational/time management skills
  • Limited local travel to client meetings and project sites
  • Possess high ethical standards and committed to producing high quality work with a commitment to teamwork, respect, and integrity.
  • Completion of a CADD training/education program is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Software Suite preferred
  • Ability to work in our Conway, SC office (911 Norman Alley, Conway, SC)
