Summary

As Senior Director, Client Strategy you will be the day-to-day lead serving as the bridge between a multitude of internal and external entities, bringing sophistication and a strategic perspective to clients' business needs with the clear objective of driving business growth through product utilization. You will uphold strategic excellence and output quality, strengthen agency and client cross-functional relationships, and lead and develop Associate Directors. This role requires a vocal, proactive, and engaged leadership approach, with accountability for all aspects of your function and the ability to operate autonomously when needed.

This Director role is critical for combining strategic leadership with daily operational excellence, ensuring that client brands benefit from sharply focused, innovative strategies delivered by a strong and motivated team.

Core Responsibilities

Team & Client Leadership

- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for OMnet/Outcomes Investment & Activation teams, OM Solutions teams, AOR teams, and Client Leadership teams, building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships.

- Elevate the role of strategy within client businesses through measurable initiatives including test and learn programs, thought leadership, and new partner and/or product recommendations.

- Collaborate with audience, planning, and activation teams to ensure strategic direction is consistently applied across recommendations and campaigns.

- Lead, mentor, and develop Associate Directors, cultivating a high-performing and collaborative strategy team.

Strategic Development & Delivery

- Lead the development of strategic statements, product frameworks, and communication architectures for your accounts and/or teams.

- Write and oversee creation of narrative content for strategic recommendations incorporated into client presentations.

- Deliver timely, relevant, and actionable strategic recommendations aligned with stated client goals and OM product & supply access.

- Deliver goals and analyze product usage via budget forecasting, budget submission, and activation data to shape accountability conversations.

- Work with AOR client leadership to actively evaluate how to find solutions for client business needs as they experience ongoing changes within their marketplace.

Cross-functional Engagement & Influence

- Act as the main liaison for OMnet/Outcomes Investment & Activation teams, OM Solutions teams, AOR teams, Client Leadership teams, and clients across all OM accounts.

- Provide ongoing product education across all above-named groupsfor both OMnet and Outcomes.

- Socialize and share key insights, findings, and overarching strategy internally to ensure strategy integrity throughout planning and activation.

Omni & OMG Advocacy

- Champion Omni platform adoption internally by driving increased usage and educating teams to elevate strategic outputs.

- Articulate the role and value of Omni and OMG capabilities clearly to clients and client teams, making compelling business cases for their application.

- Participate actively in new business evaluations and pitches, contributing strategic expertise for both OMnet and Outcomes.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Demonstrated track record of effective communication and consultation with senior clients around business challenges and strategic opportunity.

- Proven ability to elevate strategic role with clients through impactful initiatives and partnership.

- Successful collaboration with cross-functional teams to embed strategy across campaign deliverables.

- Delivery of strategic narratives and decks that clearly inform client recommendations.

- Strong history of consistent, timely delivery of high-quality, campaign-aligned strategic recommendations.

- Clear articulation and promotion of Omni's business value to clients, driving adoption and strategic integration.

- Contribution to award-winning work and participation in new business growth.

Qualifications

- Extensive experience in developing and leading integrated teams within an agency environment.

- Deep expertise and up-to-date knowledge of client businesses including financials, industry category, competitive landscape, and campaign workflows.

- Demonstrated leadership in driving strategic excellence and client growth.

- Strong ability to communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, presenting complex strategic concepts clearly.

- Proven success in managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaborative, client-focused cultures.

- Experience in applying audience insights and cultural intelligence to practical brand and media strategies.

Success Measures

- Delivery of award-worthy, industry-recognized strategic work.

- Growth in adoption of OMG and Omni products and services within client accounts.

- Ongoing development and mentorship of emerging strategy talent.

- Successful contribution to new business pitches and client expansions.

$150,000 - $180,000

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
