Job Purpose:
The Intake / Application Lead oversees the daily processing of application packages, ensuring documents are reviewed accurately, processed efficiently, and meet established quality and compliance standards. This position assigns workloads, monitors productivity, validates documentation, and serves as a resource for the intake team while maintaining a high level of customer service and data accuracy.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the daily activities of the application processing and intake team.
  • Assign workloads and monitor productivity to ensure timely processing of application packages.
  • Review applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Validate information and identify missing or inconsistent documentation.
  • Track application status and ensure processing deadlines are consistently met.
  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate records within agency databases and case management systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve application discrepancies.
  • Monitor quality assurance standards and recommend process improvements.
  • Train and mentor intake staff on procedures, policies, and best practices.
  • Prepare reports and maintain documentation supporting operational performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience leading application processing, eligibility, intake, records management, or administrative support teams.
  • Experience reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with data entry and electronic records management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required background investigation or credentials.
