Application Readers often follow specific guidelines and rubrics to ensure fair and consistent evaluations. Their work is crucial in helping organizations or educational institutions select candidates who are the best fit for their programs.

How does an application reader typically collaborate with other admissions staff during the selection process?

As an Application Reader, you will regularly collaborate with admissions officers and committee members to discuss applicant evaluations and ensure fair, holistic decisions. This often includes participating in team meetings to review borderline applications, share insights from your assessments, and align on institutional priorities. Open communication and constructive feedback are key, as your input directly influences final admissions outcomes. You'll also interact with other readers to calibrate scoring and maintain consistency across the review process.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an application reader, and why are they important?
