Job Title: Deputy Project Manager � Student Support Services
Job Summary
Support the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's training mission at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Charleston, South Carolina. As LAUKOA's Student Services Deputy Project Manager, you will support the Project Manager in the oversight and execution of all student support service operations, including dormitory services, transportation, mailroom.
.om, warehouse, and student logistics. You will assist in ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, performance standards, and applicable regulations, directly supporting student readiness, morale, and training success.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in managing day-to-day operations of all student support service functions
  • Directly manage the warehouse, mailroom and Student Support Services.
  • Support coordination and integration of all service areas to ensure seamless delivery
  • Help plan, organize, and coordinate student services operations, including dormitory management, housekeeping, transportation, logistics, and mail services
  • Support development and execution of staffing plans and operational schedules based on student population and training needs
  • Monitor service delivery to ensure alignment with Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements
  • Provide guidance and support to subordinate managers and supervisors (Dormitory, Transportation, Warehouse, etc.)
  • Assist in monitoring staffing levels and ensuring adequate coverage across all functions, including 24/7 operations
  • Support employee performance management, evaluations, and corrective actions
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with federal regulations, contract requirements, and company policies
  • Participate in inspections, audits, and quality control reviews
  • Help enforce safety, environmental, and health standards
  • Help ensure accountability of government-furnished property and materials
  • Assist in preparing operational reports, staffing metrics, and contract deliverables
  • Help oversee timekeeping, labor reporting, and system compliance (e.g., Costpoint)
  • Coordinate with government personnel, facilities, maintenance, and other contractors
  • Respond to escalated student concerns and operational issues as directed by the Project Manager

Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of recent (within the past 5 years) experience supervising personnel on Federal contracts with a demonstrated responsible and successful work experience in their areas of specialty.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more student support service areas (housing, transportation, logistics, warehouse, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of operations, logistics, and service delivery in a government contract environment
  • Shall have proficiency in oral and written communications in English.

  • Must be eligible for DHS background investigation and suitability clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with work authorization.
  • This position may require the operation of Company-provided vehicles.

  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, employee must comply with all vehicle and safety policies.
