JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Materials Handler 1 performs Cycle Counts and adjustments to monitor and maintain an accurate statement of on-hand inventory and provides accuracy of Distribution Center processes by conducting audits of processes and associates within all phases of Distribution as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Audits areas and processes as required to determine associate and process accuracy.
  • Verifies outbound shipment accuracy to stores, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers.
  • Performs cycle counts including initial counts, recounts, and research discrepancies.
  • Performs Inventory adjustments and write-offs as required.
  • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Responsible for any additional duties assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6+ months experience in a distribution center environment
  • Detail Oriented
  • Flexible and able to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills
  • Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by Supervisors/Manager
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a stand/walk position for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
  • Ability to safely work at heights to access inventory in elevated storage locations
  • Ability to qualify to obtain license to and ability to operate heavy equipment, such as cherry pickers, WAVs etc., and retrieve, move, and count products within the distribution centers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with AS400 and SAP
