Description:
This role is responsible for supporting Operational Leads and Supplier Management Specialists with projects, reporting and additional tasks to include KPI reporting, conducting data processing in SAP, and other business-related tasks. IE. Running daily/weekly reports, updating and creating macros, assisting with data mining activities using data lake software, and visualization efforts using various business intelligence (BI and data visualization software platforms). Working in various teams within the department to improve processes using VPS to simplify and potentially automate tasks to improve the duties of the Supplier Management Team.
The Qualified Intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
  • Process Improvements as described in VPS Department activities.
  • Plant Runout activities to include data visualization and assistance in creation of files and macros to facilitate the purchase of inventory from BMW process partners.
  • Proficient in creating reports, charts, and presentations using Microsoft office tools. (Word/Excel/Power Point/Power BI Etc.)
  • Assisting in managing, tracking, and KPI monitoring of transportation service providers for all domestic and international routes.
  • Launching and onboarding of new supplier process alignment with Central Competence.
  • Being a part of the BMW Supply chain by material planning and managing suppliers.
  • Teamwork: Self initiative, proactive, assertiveness, possess good communication skills, including the ability to collaborate, and network with others.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred Degrees: Business, International Business, Marketing, Business Administration and Industrial Engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive industry and project management.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively create reports, charts, and presentations with Office tools.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major.
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full time on-site (40 hours/week)
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE January 11th - May 14th 2027
